Hot, delicious, inexpensive, high quality! If you're looking for yum this is the place! Best hot wings around! Try the potato wedges as well! They are marvelous! I'm always satisfied with my food and stunned by the cost! It's honestly a place I'd be sad without! Check Indi's out! You deserve it!

Don't let the words "fast food" fool you...you'll wait at least 20 minutes. And it's totally worth it.
Hood adjacent, with the parking lot covered by folks sitting in the hoods of cars, socializing to uncensored gangsta rap, behind bulletproof glass sits some of the best soul food in Louisville.
The atmosphere inside is more raucous than outside, with customers dropping loud f bombs about having to pay for hot sauce (it's the best 38 cents you'll ever spend, by the way), and yelling about the long wait. I've been to Indi's at least 10 times, and trust me-this is the norm.
If you're not in a hurry, don't mind a whole lot of colorful language, and enjoy the occasional gangsta rap marathon, this is your joint for fried chicken, Sunday dinner sides, and the best damn potato wedges in Kentuckiana. -

A staple in downtown for fast chicken and soul food. I used to come here all the time when I lived downtown years ago. It was often late at night. I like their chicken, wedges, and fried fish. It's always nice to be able to get sides like greens and yams fast and cheap as well. I've had better, but it's fast food.
I don't like ordering through glass though, but that's just how it is and has always been. They also can be sometime-y on the friendly scale, and this location only takes cash. (Some other locations do take cards.) The wedges used to be better, I think. Could just be me though and the fact that most of my younger days have a misty and smoky haze around them. Still, I like Indi's and will still venture here from time to time. 3.5 stars, rounded up. -

We were looking for fried chicken and since it was labor day, a lot of places were closed. I ended up finding myself at Indi's. My 3 star may change the next time I try there (and i will try there again). The reason i gave it a 3 star was because i went there at 3pm where they weren't super busy so the chicken had been sitting there for a while. Though they were under the lamps, it didnt taste as fresh as other fried chicken places. I did love the fact they had fried okras!! And the option of getting spicy and nom spicy chicken. Overall, it was good and i will be back during prime dinner time!
PS. CASH ONLY RESTAURANT!! -

a classic. one of the best fast food places in town. the spicy wings are such a great deal. and THE POTATO WEDGES ARE HEAVENLY. Please, if you go... try the wedges. I've gotten food poisoning from this specific location once, but i don't think that will deter me from getting this immaculate food. it's worth the risk hahaha!
